AI Data Engineer
Dept: Information Technology
Position Reports To: Sr. Database Architect
This is not a remote position. This position will be expected to be onsite.
General Description: The AI Data Engineer will work within the Information Technology department and manage various databases, API integrations, and data governance for the organization. This role will partner closely with several key departments to ensure data is properly captured, maintained, and used to build/manage customer relationships and evaluate/pursue revenue opportunities. The Data Engineer will create and manage all data flows and integrations to maximize data insights. We are experiencing unprecedented change and disruption due to rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The Data Engineer will help create an effective AI and ML transformation plan to support our organization’s strategic goals. The Data Engineer must be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and will be required to work on-site at our Owings Mills office and/or M&T Bank Stadium location.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Using SQL, help organize, structure and clean multiple data sources in the Raven’s business data warehouse efficiently and logically.
- Write programs to analyze trends and uncover business & football insights
- Assist with data collection across a variety of methods.
- Scrape websites for data to be organized and loaded.
- Pull API data and automate processing to internal systems.
- Assist in the cleaning and transformation of the data into relevant insights.
- Write SQL stored procedures to clean and organize data.
- Document data flows and sources as well as assisting in improving current ETL processes.
- Help to develop data governance standards tied to industry best practices.
- Experience in Generative A.I., Machine Learning, NLP, and Computer Vision.
- Attend weekly Ravens information technology staff meeting.
- Support information technology efforts as needed.
- Work primarily in the office, with some flexibility for occasional remote work, and also willingness to work occasional nights and weekends.
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, analytics, mathematics, statistics or related and appropriate field.
Preferred Experience
4+ Years of relevant database development. Good understanding of data concepts.
Requisite Abilities and/or Skills
- Database engineering experience.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Proficiency in Machine Learning, Prompt Engineering
- Experience with Cloud Technology (AWS, Azure, Google)
- Experience with MuleSoft for integrations
- Ability to visualize data and present data to the appropriate audience.
- Ability to create custom SQL procedures to automate data feeds.
- Familiarity/experience with data cleansing processes.
- Strong initiative & willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
- Highly organized, detail oriented.
- Ability to think analytically and creatively.
- Adaptability to environment involving several simultaneous projects – multitasking.
- Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to understand and solve tasks with little supervision.
- An ideal applicant will have solid understanding of analyzing data, drawing conclusions and generating reports.
Salary and Benefits
- Range: 110k+
