Digital User Experience Coordinator

This is a is full-time, exempt position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Paid medical; Dental, Vision; 401k, Pension; most meals included.

DESCRIPTION:

The Digital User Experience Coordinator will work alongside the Digital Web Coordinator to plan, design, build, optimize and coordinate fan-facing experiences for all Ravens digital platforms including the team mobile app, website, email, and other emerging digital technologies by creating user interfaces that feature superior layout and are easily navigable and intuitive. They will assist with the day-to-day operations and advancement of Ravens digital media channels and help execute initiatives across all digital platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess strong front-end UX/UI design skills, a passion for current and emerging technology platforms and an innovator mentality. They will habitually stay abreast of digital trends and have an awareness of the latest developments and best practices in the tech industry. The candidate is highly collaborative, thinks creatively and analytically, and possesses a willingness to share new ideas. They should have previous experience using a CMS and proven web/app development abilities. Strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mentality, and the ability to collaborate with others on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines is a must.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the day-to-day design, layout, development and management of the Ravens Mobile app and website, including ongoing collaboration with third-party developers
  • Create, update and optimize digital experiences and mobile/desktop landing pages
  • Build wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity mock-ups through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps to implement regular design and feature updates
  • Work with a team on the ideation, development and implementation of mobile app features that engage fans, drive traffic and media consumption and improve the gameday and in-stadium experiences
  • Seamlessly integrate partners into Ravens digital platforms; explore and craft new revenue-generating opportunities
  • Evaluate best practices, emerging technology opportunities, competitors, fans and other mobile apps and websites
  • Uphold the Ravens visual identity and brand guidelines
  • Design for accessibility standards which ensure ADA/CCPA compliance across digital platforms
  • Help to design various Ravens email newsletter templates
  • Help to manage the content and information powering the Ravens artificial intelligence platform (FlockBot); work with members of other departments to ensure information is regularly updated and accurate
  • Assist with the deployment of Ravens augmented reality fan activations
  • Manage Ravens TV apps; update content on a weekly and daily basis
  • Support the execution of Ravens free-to-play fan games in the mobile app, including gameplay, prizing, sponsorship integration and promotion (weekly in-season, intermittently in offseason)
  • Working with the Business Intelligence group, leverage analytics to generate regular performance reports and analyses to measure the performance of digital activations, amplify traffic and engagement, enhance the user experience and maximize club revenue
  • Serve as a technical liaison to the NFL and third-party developers; participate in regular calls and communications with vendors (YinzCam, NFL, Rover, Satisfi, etc.)
  • Collaborate with members of other departments to execute digital initiatives that serve that department’s business goals; assist in cross-channel promotional efforts for digital and organizational initiatives through the Ravens mobile app, website, chatbot, etc.
  • Quality control – user-test, troubleshoot, identify bugs, work with support team to implement fixes across all digital platforms
  • Assist with app push notification efforts
  • Respond to fan emails regarding questions and inquiries about Ravens digital platforms

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Work under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Digital Strategy & Innovation and closely with the Digital Web Coordinator; help supervise department intern
  • Work 40-hour-plus week, in addition to all game days (home and away) and required to work evenings, weekends and holidays, when necessary. This position will primarily work at the Under Armour Performance Center – typically five days/week in-season and four days/week during parts of the offseason
  • Perform duties as outlined by the Ravens’ organizational mission, values and goals
  • Project a professional image in the workplace and in all interactions including fans, corporate partners and fellow Ravens’ associates, coaches and players
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers within the department and throughout the organization
  • Provide your own transportation to the Under Armour Performance Center, M&T Bank Stadium and any other places that may be required
  • Responsible for providing your own housing in the Baltimore area
  • Arrive on time and perform duties in a professional manner
  • Assist other members of the department with necessary duties/tasks

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree and/or prior experience in Digital Media, UX/UI or Graphic Design, Web/App Development, Digital or Interactive Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 1+ years of professional operational experience with UX and UI design principles
  • Employment or freelance experience in a digital marketing role a plus

REQUISITE ABILITIES/SKILLS:

  • Must be able to conceptualize and create digital experiences and designs with minimal direction
  • Possesses initiative and passion for new innovation and technology, creativity, organization, fan engagement and customer focus
  • Thrives on building best-in-class digital experiences
  • Capability to work on and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Must have a proficiency using graphic design tools including Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and UX/UI design tools including Figma
  • Operational experience working with basic content management platforms and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Experience with app development, coding (HTML, CSS, Javascript), other Internet-related skills a plus
  • Highly collaborative and works well as a member of a team
  • Attention to detail and proof-reading skills is critical
  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to work long, irregular hours and adaptability to a fast-paced environment involving several simultaneous projects and supervisors
  • Ability to meet deadlines, think creatively, and be a self-starter
  • Have a positive attitude
