Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for keeping accurate inventory control of all merchandise in the off-site DC, as well as running point for accurate inventory at our offsite warehouse location; Assist with inventory at all other locations as needed
  • Oversee the receiving process for all purchase, intercompany and transfer orders inbound to either DC and all store locations, including but not limited to, accurately scanning, counting, ticketing, photographing and handling the receiving process in Yellow Dog (Inventory Control System)
    • Maintain accurate spreadsheet of all received shipments and work with buyers on Purchase Order Vouchers, Outstanding issues, invoice issues and store distribution schedule
    • Oversee the Return to Vendor process, including maintaining accurate and current discrepancy forms and PO holds, vendor spreadsheets, providing accounting with needed info and working with buying team to quickly return to vendors
  • Responsible for overall flow efficiency of offsite DC and proper storage of all products
  • Manage all aspects of In-Season and annual Physical Inventory at offsite warehouse. Assist in in-season and annual inventories at other locations as needed
  • Manage negative inventory reports for offsite warehouse, discover issues and make corrections in a timely manner. Assist with negatives at other locations as needed
  • Assist with damaged goods process for DCs and all retail locations, including storage and distribution
  • Oversee distributions of product to Truist Park stores/front office, Spring Training and other Braves retail locations. Including but not limited to:
    • Scheduling all deliveries in conjunction with Ops Managers and based on need
    • Accurate pulling and packaging of merchandise.
    • Physically transferring merchandise via department truck.
    • Maintaining and completing the proper paperwork/inventory management process to accurately track inventory through Yellow Dog.
    • Updating discrepancies immediately and implementing solutions as needed
  • Manage all shipping and receiving responsibilities for the retail department, including cost management of shipping budgets
  • Analyze DC productivity and efficiency of staff and of process and procedures, implement adjustments as needed
  • Oversee interview, hire, train, supervise, and schedule the DC staff consisting of full-time and part time employees
  • Conduct weekly Distribution Center Staff meetings
  • Remotely assist Spring Training store with receiving procedures as needed with site visits as necessary
  • Keep DC clean and organized
  • Order DC operating supplies
  • Responsible for equipment and maintenance of Department Truck and retail scanners

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • BA, BS or MS degree in supply chain management, business, sports management or 3 to 5 years of supply chain/distribution center experience
  • Understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures and an ability to relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in Sports Merchandising a plus
  • Leadership, organizational skills, communication skills and global market awareness
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends and occasional holidays in all types of weather conditions
  • Shipping/receiving or order processing skills a plus
  • Working knowledge of computer skills needed to operate the Inventory System, Retail Pro experience is a plus
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Successfully complete a background check
