The Atlanta Braves Trainee Program is designed for applicants who are interested in beginning a career in professional sports. Trainees will work full-time from January 2025 through November 2025. Applicants are encouraged to visit braves.com/trainee for more information prior to applying.

Our trainee program aims to cultivate future leaders in corporate partnership management by providing hands-on experience in account management, event execution, and relationship building. Trainees will develop essential skills in service fulfillment, merchandising, and reporting, while actively supporting our Corporate Partnership department in fostering strong connections with our corporate sponsors. Through immersive projects and collaborative events, participants will gain valuable insights into the dynamic world of corporate partnerships.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Serve as account manager and day-to-day contact for 15+ Corporate Partners
  • Assist the Corporate Partnership department in all areas including service fulfillment, execution of special events, Sales team support and proposal building
  • Merchandising responsibilities examples include VIP Field Visits, First Pitches, pre-game presentations, suite nights, ticket and parking fulfillment, print advertising, radio advertising, in-park recognition, in-game features, signage, gate giveaways, game-day/season-long promotions, Community Affairs programs, hospitality parties, sponsor special events, maintaining contact database, etc.
  • Will assist in placing catering orders for corporate partner luxury suite outings, setting rotational signage schedule, tracking signage exposure and managing departmental photograph library
  • Year End Reports - keep detailed records of all partner elements and activation programs throughout year. Design, prepare and present comprehensive reports for each sponsor detailing and highlighting all elements included in their agreement as well as any additional exposure received throughout the season
  • Assist in planning and implementing key relationship building partner events throughout the year such as Spring Training trips, Opening Day hospitality, golf tournament(s), sponsor batting practice/softball games, FanFest, sponsor movie night, etc.

TRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduation (If you are a current college student who will be completed with coursework by January and only needing an internship, you are also eligible.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent executive presence
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Must complete a background check

ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree with a preferred emphasis on Business, Marketing and/or Sports Management
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable operating company vehicles and a clean Driver's Record
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and handle multiple projects at one time
  • Applicant should have strong organizational skills
  • Shows initiative and willingness to learn quickly
