We have a new opportunity within our composites team as a Team Leader for the night shift. This would be working Monday to Thursday shift.

Team Leader (Nightshift) – The Role

Reporting to the Deputy Production Manager (Composites), this role will support the Senior Technicians in Laminating, Trim & Assembly and Production Support.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Support staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities reach the business goals and expectations.
  • Resolve minor performance issues amicably within team.
  • Ensure workload is processed and released to the next operation in accordance to event calendar, D365 Work To List, DOA notes, working closely with Production Control.
  • Scrutinise and adjust work schedules to solve scheduling and quality problems.
  • Robust knowledge of Laminating and resolution of any local queries. Ensure technical drawings are reviewed, estimates for time and production methods are provided as necessary.
  • Ensure laminating provides good parts to subsequent operations.
  • Ensuring team members provide timely and accurate WO bookings (eg. D365) for materials and time collection. Ensure alterations are carried out as necessary to maintain data accuracy.
  • Maintain a level of equipment understanding to enable effective support of less experienced users.
  • Ensure tooling, materials and fixtures are selected and prepared in good time to meet demands of production schedules and managed appropriately for overall department needs.
  • Support staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities reach the business goals and expectations.
  • Understudy to the Production Manager and Deputy Production Manager as required.

Team Leader (Nightshift) – The Person

The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background and be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and models. They will have a proven track record of manufacturing parts in accordance with the high spec equipment, GD&T and technical specifications. They will be PC literate and comfortable using MS Office products, Dynamics 365 knowledge would be at an advantage.

This person will create a positive profile and be flexible in their approach to achieving targets within a fast paced environment. They will work well under pressure, be organised and have excellent attention to detail.
