Job Summary

The Manager, Match Operations for St. Louis CITY SC will provide guests with a safe and inviting venue, as well as experiences that are the best in Major League Soccer. This individual will help lead the Stadium Operations Team in ensuring that St. Louis CITY SC matches are operating as efficiently and effectively as possible, while managing resources as it pertains to both internal and external stadium events.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborate with appropriate associates from ticketing, partnerships, grounds, etc. to ensure internal and external sporting events are executed to the highest level.
  • Liaise with home and visiting teams and referees before each match to communicate facility policies and detailed event information.
  • Create and distribute necessary event communications as necessary to the stadium and Matchday Operations Teams.
  • Work with contractors and vendors to plan and execute effective matchday strategies including stadium and field set-up.
  • Meet with the Stadium Operations Team to discuss any necessary building preparations and/or special match activities.
  • Attend all St. Louis CITY SC home games and full stadium sporting events, as well as some non-soccer related events.
  • Oversee matchday experiences including ball kids, player pals, stretcher crew.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualilfications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Venue Management, Sports Management, Sports Leadership, or another related field required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of increasing Operations responsibility in a stadium or public assembly facility including supervisory responsibility.
  • Experience working in a stadium atmosphere for various types of events and layouts including soccer matches required.
  • Prior budgetary oversight of operational and payroll expenses preferred.
  • Proficiency in incident management systems preferred.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain a current AED/CPR/First Aid Certificate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
