Job Title: Grassroots Marketing Associate

Location: Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia, PA)

Reports to: Manager, Growth Marketing

Status: Part-Time; Hourly (anticipated workload of 10-20 hours a week)

Overview:

The Philadelphia Flyers are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic applicants for our Grassroots Marketing team. This is a great part time opportunity for college students, recent graduates and individuals looking to break into the sports industry. Team members will work with the Marketing and Sales staff, learn about the business operations of a sports franchise, and build their resume as representative of the Flyers organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, plan and represent the Philadelphia Flyers at local events throughout the Philadelphia area, including fairs, street festivals, and community events.
  • Coordinate and execute on-site activations including operating team vehicles, set up and take-down of team displays, and managing fan-interactive experiences.
  • Engage with fans and inform them on Philadelphia Flyers campaigns, ticket options, community initiatives, and fan engagement opportunities.
  • Support Philadelphia Flyers data collection efforts.
  • Analyze event results, assemble data recaps, and research future potential events.
  • Assist other Flyers Marketing & Sales initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an engaging personality and enthusiastic attitude while interacting with fans, answering questions, and representing the Flyers brand.
  • Must possess exceptional team attitude, communications skills, work-ethic, ability to multitask.
  • Must be comfortable in a public setting.
  • Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs., assist with manual setup and take down at events, stand for long periods of time, and move frequently or quickly when needed.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and potentially holidays.
  • Must be able to commit to working a minimum of one event per month for the duration of the 2023-24 NHL season.
  • Must possess a valid driverโ€™s license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred, but not required.
