Title: Academy Equipment Manager Preformation

WHAT SETS YOU APART: The Academy Equipment Manager (Preformation) will work closely with all Academy staff and players in performing a variety of tasks supporting the Orlando City Academy teams. This position will require work hours in the afternoon/evenings as well as support for weekend matches at home and away. The Equipment Manager will provide dedicated support on a day-to-day basis from an equipment and team operations perspective. This position requires 35-40 hours of work per week to maintain a professional equipment operation for a professional developmental sports team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Director of Equipment Operations in budgeting, ordering and inventory management of team equipment.

Kit Management (laundry, repairs, creation, distribution/collection, inventory, etc.).
Match Day locker room set-up, field prep, and breakdown, etc.
- Prepare and distribute game uniforms and other essential apparel for players and staff.
Training day locker room set-up.
Work closely with technical staff to coordinate training/travel needs.
Maintain locker rooms and work environment for players and staff.
Monitor the inventory system to track all items out/returned.

Plan and implement a packing strategy for all road matches.
Ensure compliance is met in accordance with team and league guidelines.

Document and oversee all player and staff requests.
Oversee the transportation of equipment to and from away trips, whether by bus or air travel.
All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Enthusiastic and energetic team player.

Well organized and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a sense of accountability.

Fluency in English and Spanish/Portuguese preferred but not required.

Able to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.

Able to work productively under pressure and be consistently proactive.

Strong knowledge and passion for the sport of soccer is preferred.

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and all Microsoft Office applications.

About Orlando City SC & Orlando Pride:

In November 2013, Orlando City Soccer Club was awarded a Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise, becoming the league’s 21st franchise. The team began play in March 2015, with 62,510 fans packing the then-Orlando Citrus Bowl for the Club’s MLS debut.

The Pride feature a star-studded roster of domestic and international talent and, in 2024, brought the first professional major league title to the city of Orlando, with the Club winning the NWSL Championship. The season saw the Pride complete the double, winning both the Championship and the NWSL Shield as the best team in the regular season, capping off a historic campaign that set numerous league records. Former Orlando City defender Seb Hines serves as the team’s head coach, not only the first Black head coach in the league, but also the first to win both the Championship and the NWSL Shield, and the 2024 NWSL Coach of the Year.

In 2017, both teams moved into its privately-owned, soccer-specific venue – Inter&Co Stadium – located in the heart of downtown Orlando.

In July 2021, the Club – which includes Orlando City SC, the Orlando Pride, Orlando City B (MLS NEXT Pro) and Inter&Co Stadium – was purchased by the Wilf Family, who also own the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League.
