The New York Red Bulls are one of 30 Major League Soccer (MLS) teams. RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, has competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium (SIS) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull, for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.
Purpose of this Job
The New York Red Bulls Hype Crew works directly with the Game Presentation department during the execution of all off-site events and match days. As part of this crew, you will be responsible to build a memorable and fun energy around you. This position is directly involved in the execution of engagement opportunities with fans and new consumers. You will be responsible for engaging audiences with your outgoing personality, outstanding dance skills, passion for soccer and New York Red Bulls. You engage well with diverse crowds to create an entertaining and memorable experience. The New York Red Bulls Hype Crew’s schedule is driven primarily by the MLS season schedule and off-site Field Marketing initiatives. Regular and consistent commitment to events throughout the year is expected.
Job Description
- Work with our Field Marketing, Game Presentation and Entertainment department to execute memorable experiences. You love to create a fun atmosphere and be immersed in the crowd.
- Building the energy and hype around you at Red Bull Arena, both on-camera and in front of fans. You love to contribute to the entertainment side of in-arena production.
- Elevate the fan experience by hyping up contestants on-camera during any partnered contests or promotions and help influence fans to execute on generated chants and cheers.
- Coordinate and assist with execution at partnered locations around the BULLevard. You will help to create the energy around our partnered area to draw in crowds around our gameday activations.
- Serve as extras for video shoots and other New York Red Bulls content throughout the season. You are not camera shy and thrive in showcasing your fun energy.
Qualifications
- Have an outgoing personality
- Dancing experience is a plus
- Soccer experience and knowledge is a plus
- Entertainment experience or previous hype team member experience
- Over the top energy
- Any special performance skills
- Maintain a positive attitude and a good communicator
- Comfortable in different atmospheres and activation settings
- Ability to perform in various weather related elements including rain, wind and heat
- Dependable transportation to and from matches and appearances in the Tri-State area
- May be required to work on holidays & extended hours on the weekends as the match schedule requires
