Our Game Plan
The New York Islanders Hockey Club is one of the most iconic franchises in professional sports, with a deeply passionate and loyal fan base that is second to none. Built on a Dynasty in the 1980’s with four straight Stanley Cup Championships, our history is what will propel us into the future, confidently assuming a position of strength in the sports, entertainment, and cultural landscape.
Our home at UBS Arena at Belmont Park, which was built for hockey and made for music, cements our brand into the very foundation of New York. We have always carved our own path, and to our fans the Islanders are a way for people to be a part of something greater than themselves. To be a part of living history, with the glory of the past fueling the drive for our fifth Stanley Cup.
How to Make the Team
Our team is committed to customer service and providing our customers an exclusive and unparalleled Islanders shopping experience, as well as assisting and educating Long Island’s youth hockey families. This role requires an understanding of the National Hockey League, the heritage of the New York Islanders, and a background in hockey equipment.
Show Us You Can
- Work alongside a team of other Pro Shop & Islanders personnel
- Handle multiple job tasks at any given time
- Provide proper insight for customers who are shopping in the store or remotely
- Properly handle and maintain inventory and operate a POS system
- Adapt to changing environments and tasks at a moment’s notice
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Sharpen hockey and figure skates. Experience is preferred, but we will also offer training
- Be available to work weekday afternoons/evenings and weekend daytime/evening hours

Where You’ll Go
- Pro Shop sales associates work at either Islanders Iceworks or Northwell Health Ice Center. Working locations are pre-determined via a work schedule.
