Job Overview: As a member of the Business Intelligence department, the Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analytics & reporting across multiple lines of business, including ticketing, suites, sponsorship, marketing and operations. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, data collection, cleaning & analysis, performance/KPI reporting, custom research, predictive modeling, pricing, and data visualization.
Responsibilities/Functions:
- Responsible for the day-to-day BI reporting and analytic needs across various departments through design & distribution of reports and dashboards
- Improve how the Giants collect, manage, store and report on data from across all business-related sources and platforms
- Use available APIs from key platforms to extract data for analysis and integration
- Provide actionable insights into consumer behavior, attitudes, demographics and personas
- Use available data and tools to forecast sales and make pricing recommendations across season, group, individual game and suite tickets
- Build and continuously refine predictive models across a variety of areas, including but not limited to sales, attendance, customer retention, digital engagement, and fan segmentation
- Assist the corporate partnerships team with research and custom insights to support sales and measure performance
- Collaborate with other members of the Business Intelligence department on longer-term initiatives and development of analytical capabilities
- Package and communicate analytical findings (trends, etc.) and develop presentations as needed
- Assist with and update recurring league reports as needed
- Assist with vendor selection and management around analytical functions as needed
- Deliver ad-hoc projects, analysis, and other BI-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ yearsβ professional experience in an analytics-related position
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Sports Management, Analytics, Statistics or related field
- Proficiency with
- Data visualization software (Tableau preferred)
- Relational databases, SQL and ETL tools/processes
- Building statistical models in R or Python
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with KORE, Salesforce and/or Teradata products preferred
- Experience working with Ticketing and Digital Marketing (email, web, social) data is preferred
- Must be detailed oriented, organized, and dependable with ability to multi-task as needed
- Ability to clearly communicate technical subject matter to colleagues
- Strong time management, teamwork skills and the ability to manage their own individual projects
- Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends and company events as needed
