WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY
The National Hockey League is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Director of Mobile Engineering to lead our iOS and Android development teams. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, technical innovation, and overall success of our enterprise and outward-facing mobile engineering efforts. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, performance-driven mobile applications that are seen by millions of users.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the iOS and Android development teams
  • Define and execute the mobile engineering roadmap, aligning with league's goals and priorities
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of iOS and Android engineers to deliver exceptional results
  • Establish and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and processes
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and other stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize features
  • Drive technical innovation and excellence, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code through code reviews and quality assurance processes
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning within the mobile engineering teams
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployment of iOS and Android applications


QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience

Required

  • 10-12 years of experience in software development, with at least 8 years of experience in mobile development
  • Proven track record of leadership and success in managing iOS and/or Android engineering teams
  • Deep understanding of mobile technologies, platforms, and ecosystems, including iOS and Android SDKs, frameworks, and tools
  • Strong technical background with experience in mobile application architecture, design patterns, and best practices
  • Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for iOS and Android applications

Preferred

  • Knowledge of the game of hockey


Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

SALARY RANGE:

$170-210K

Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
