Position Summary:
This position will serve as both a key day-to-day liaison between Marketing Partnerships & Media (MP&M) and relevant WNBA subgroups (e.g., Growth & Innovation, Marketing, Player Programs, Digital Products, Finance, Communications). This commercial-minded and process-oriented individual will focus on the process and execution of marketing partnership programs and deliverables that help drive league revenue and marketing partner objectives.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support the fulfillment of all WNBA-only marketing partners’ sponsorship benefits
  • Work across the organization to ensure input and approvals are obtained. Particular focus on collaboration with Events, Creative Services, Live Programming & Entertainment
  • Support the WNBA Commercial Solutions Manager and ensure successful working relationships between GP&M, WNBA, Finance, Communications, and other departments that work closely on partner marketing & media partnership matters
  • Manage all event and non-media inventory for the WNBA
  • Develop close working relationship between MPM and WNBA subgroups to ensure successful resourcing against all contractual deliverables
  • Execute against partnership goals and success metrics and implement a measurement plan for monitoring effectiveness and providing regular reporting
  • Lead necessary information gathering and communications in areas such as up-to-date partnership lists and sponsored programs and platforms, WNBA marketing partner financials, benefit commitments, etc.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and other departments to create presentations, review proposals and other materials to engage existing and prospective partners to participate in new and existing programming
  • Assist with execution of WNBA platforms and programs, on an ad hoc basis, with focus on partner activation
  • Work closely with account teams on partner objectives and their alignment with program objectives
  • Oversee development and production of creative elements and traffic approvals for program materials
  • Compile and provide internal updates on program development and execution
  • Keep records and recommendations for internal and external purposes
  • Communicate key issues internally via status reports and meeting updates

Required Education/Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred fields of study: Marketing, Advertising, Sports Management, or Communications
  • 1 - 2 year professional experience in relevant field (experiential marketing, account management, or brand management)

Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes:

  • Solid understanding of all facets of sponsorship activation including marketing rights, event marketing, experiential marketing, media, brand management, hospitality, content, etc.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including the ability to build trust and credibility and adapt to various personalities and working styles
  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to lead discussions and interact with senior executives (internally and externally)
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive, self-starter with high energy and team spirit
  • Must be a solutions oriented individual committed to troubleshooting and problem solving with internal constituents and external partners
  • Ability to creatively find solutions to problems in high pressure environments
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Salary Range: [[$80,000 - $90,000]]
