Position Summary:
The Miami Marlins are seeking a qualified and dedicated Ballpark Maintenance Painter. In coordination with the Director of Facilities, this individual is responsible for the preparation and application of paint (and related coatings), from wall coverings to interior/exterior surfaces at loanDepot park. This role will ensure all areas are maintained for players, guests, and staff, in a safe and efficient way.
Essential Functions:
- Advanced and skilled painting techniques on different surfaces including but not limited to; wood, drywall, steel, concrete, plastic, piping insulation
- Surface prep, paint matching, patching, grinding, sanding in all general paint related work
- General knowledge in the following categories; carpentry, patch, paint, along with building preventative maintenance
- Inspect the facility to determine year-round preventative maintenance plan
- Conducts general building maintenance including; o Painting, surface preparation, grinding, sanding, cutting, and using power tools
- Help facilities in other areas, projects, building rounds, inspections, event coverage; o Complete and execute all general building needs instructed by management and in conjunction with the facilities team;
- Assist in material ordering, inventory, cleaning and maintaining all related work areas during and after completion of project or daily task
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7/365 coverage as necessary
- Ability to interface with occupants at all administrative levels
- Team player committed to working in a quality-based environment, especially in close relationship with other facilities and operations staff
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proactive, organized and detail-oriented person who can follow through with minimal supervision
- Must show good judgment
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
- High school diploma required
- 3-year minimum painting experience in residential/commercial work
