Weâre looking for a talented Software Developer to join our Technology team in a pivotal role, designing, deploying, and maintaining ERP services on a global scale.
Our ERP services support key business functions, including Finance, Procurement, HR (People), and Payroll, forming the backbone of CFGâs operations. Your contributions will help shape our technology landscape, driving success across our clubs on and off the pitch.
Location
This role is based at our Manchester HQ, with 3â4 days per week on-site.
What Youâll Do
Build, test, and maintain software solutions, ensuring seamless data pipelines and optimal system performance.
Troubleshoot, innovate, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Apply DevOps best practices to improve deployment speed and reliability in cloud environments.
Use project management techniques to track progress, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.
Conduct code reviews, report updates to stakeholders, and foster effective team communication.
Administer and enhance systems, providing 2nd- and 3rd-line support for maintenance and incident resolution.
Deliver projects aligned with architectural and enterprise strategies, creating support materials and training for users.
Explore and apply emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to enhance our software portfolio.
What Weâre Looking For
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on experience with software development (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) and Big Data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), preferably in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Proficiency in SQL, with a strong understanding of version control and DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and a curiosity to innovate.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Bonus Points For
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project management practices.
Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or finance-focused ERPs.
