The Product team is responsible for the development of new products and evolution of existing products. The product portfolio comprises Ticketing, Hospitality, Membership & Subscriptions, Stadium Tour, Catering and Conference & Events.

Reporting to the Director of Product, you will be responsible for providing project management support to the development of new products. Working within the product development governance framework, you will be responsible for managing the overall schedule of project work across the entire product portfolio with specific responsibility for managing the project planner, following up on actions and tracking progress, timelines and milestones for delivery, as well as the overall project roadmap. You will also be responsible for the preparation of project reports and presentations to provide key updates to senior stakeholders and highlight key decisions required.

You will also be responsible for, budget, resource utilisation, timelines and throughput of delivery; these will be major metrics that you track, consider and challenge delivery teams on. You will provide counsel to the Product Team and business leaders [with excellent instincts from extensive experience] about the threats to a project, what is on the critical path, how to move a project back onto plan and how to present those elements to key product stakeholders.

Your Impact

  • Responsible for the creation and management of the product development project planner for the department, with responsibility for tracking and monitoring progress. Working closely with the respective Head of Product, you will provide key support to the project management of product development, identifying and managing through any risks or challenges to the project, changes to scope, creation of impact assessments and providing support on budget and resource management.
  • Responsible for the management of the Product Governance process, ensuring status reports and supplementary information is prepared for Governance update meetings.
  • Lead the continuous development of a robust project framework, reporting and presentations for senior stakeholders to ensure that transparency is regularly demonstrated and always available with the necessary updates recorded in a timely manner.
  • Support the Head of Product to engage with stakeholders across the business on challenging questions such as prioritisation, application, budget or resource and help to remove blockages on projects drawing on their expertise and extensive experience in delivering complex projects.
  • Ensure the Product department is fully integrated with other key areas of the business and delivers a coherent, consistent experience, to the highest standards, for fans, visitors and other key stakeholders, across all touch points.
  • Be able to substantively multitask by managing and tracking the perfromance objectives of multiple projects with multiple project managers ensuring there is a good knowledge of the status of all projects
  • Be a trusted and valued advisor and point of contact for the Product Team. Provide practical and comprehensive solutions for projects that need corrective action where constraints, risks or issues are causing significant threat to the benefits and business case.
  • Develop excellent working relationships and processes across the business to manage important Product processes in order that scalable delivery turns into successful product delivery operations.
  • What we are looking for

Essential

  • Proven experience in a Project Management role
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining a transparent framework of portfolio management
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrable experience of planning projects and critiquing a plan
  • Experience of delivering a portfolio that includes large waterfall projects and agile sprints
  • Demonstrable experience developing and honing relevant and pointed presentations, reports for consumption for senior executives
  • Ability to manage relationships, be an effective and highly motivated member of the team with a flexible approach and strong multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally with excellent interpersonal skills you will have experience of working with a variety of different teams, backgrounds, disciplines and projects concurrently
  • Good organisational skills demonstrating the ability to think ahead, prioritise, manage and deliver output to strict deadlines with clear results
  • Has qualification in project management methodology

Desirable

  • P3O certified at Foundation Level or equivalent project management qualification
  • Prior experience working in a sport background
  • Qualification in data analytics and planning
  • Knowledge and experience of utilising analytical tools to measure project performance
