Manchester City and Techno India Group will be delivering a year-round football school program in Techno India Group's home city of Kolkata, India, starting in April 2025.

The Manchester City Football School will provide students with an authentic and creative football education program inspired by the coaching philosophy and methodology of the Premier League club.

The football school, based in Kolkata, West Bengal will benefit from the expertise of official Manchester City coaches who will relocate to the city to deliver a bespoke football program tailored for the personal development of Techno India Group’s students.

Job purpose

To deliver the Manchester City program at Techno India Group in Kolkata while supporting the Head Coach with the ongoing goals of the partnership,

Your Impact

  • Ensure the quality of the programs is of the highest standard possible, adhering to the coaching philosophy, methodology and principles of Manchester City.
  • Take on key responsibilities for the coaching program requirements of the Manchester City program in Kolkata.
  • To ensure the key responsibilities as directed by the Head Coach are completed within time to the highest standards of Manchester City.
  • To support and coordinate a local coach development program for internal staff and support coaches.
  • To continually review the program delivery across the key areas and recommending areas of development.
  • Ensure the planning, preparation and reviewing of operational and reporting documents are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • To always maintain professional conduct in both on and off field environments.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Hold, or working towards, a UEFA ‘B’ Coaching License (Level 3).
  • Evidence of further qualifications and personal development within football.
  • To have the ability to train and develop individual coaches and support staff.
  • To demonstrate the management skills required to support the development of the project and to show the potential to assume the leadership of future initiatives.
  • An ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders (participants, parents/carers, staff and wider community personnel and organisations) to plan for successful player engagement. This includes the ability to relate professionally to other staff members and work collaboratively to provide successful developmental outcomes for participants.
  • To be proficient and pro-active in preparing and recording documents to support the coaching, reviewing the project, and communicating and/or presenting to others internally and externally.
  • To have the ability to work collaboratively to solve problems immediately and to then recommend options to ensure the success of the program.
  • The ability to create a positive working environment that represents Manchester City and Techno India Group in the marketplace.
