Casual Pro Game Academy U16s Assistant Coach, LFC Women’s

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC Women’s team as a Pro Game Academy U16s Assistant Coach on a casual basis. In this role you will be responsible for developing talented individuals so that players from Liverpool FC Women’s Pro Game Academy (PGA) progress within our player development pathway and become an integral part of the success of the Liverpool FC Women’s first team.

What will you be doing?

  • Embed the LFC Women club values, playing and coaching philosophy throughout the PGA
  • Plan and deliver high quality pitch sessions for the LFC Women PGA U16s squad
  • Plan and deliver high quality preparation and review sessions for the LFC Women PGA U16s squad
  • Prepare, deliver, and provide feedback on a regular basis to players and parents/carers on individual player development plans
  • Support with the talent identification and recruitment strategy, to ensure we consistently have the highest calibre of local talent within our player development pathway at LFC Women
  • Work in collaboration with the LFC Foundation staff to ensure alignment of the player pathway and connectivity between the Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) and LFC Foundation age group squad (U14) and the LFC Women PGA U16s squad
  • To attend and contribute to FA CPD events and further training as required

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you must have a UEFA B Licence as a minimum and have a proven track record of working with and developing players at elite club level or national level in football, including recent and relevant professional experience in a performance sport environment. You will have the ability to demonstrate a strong understanding and knowledge of the women and girls’ talent pathway. You will also hold in addition the following qualifications:

  • FA Safeguarding Children Course
  • FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF)

You’ll have proficiency in using performance analysis software (ideally HUDL) and PowerPoint or Keynote to deliver presentations. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, including an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a professional environment. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to create positive working relationships with all key stakeholders, including players and player’s families. You’ll have a commitment to diversity, equal opportunities, and continuous professional development.

Why should you apply?

This is a casual contract. You will be able to claim up to 18 hours per week in a typical week. On occasions, the weekly claim may be more or less based on programme changes, to be authorised by the LFC Women’s PGA Manager. This role includes working afternoons, evenings, weekends, and PGA match fixtures on a 5 in 7-day basis. Your main base will be our AXA Melwood Training Centre.
