SUMMARY

Pacers Sports & Entertainment (PSE) is hiring a part-time IPTV Ambassador to join our IPTV team, primarily on game and event nights. The IPTV department oversees installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all the TVs around Pacers Sports & Entertainment campus including Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Bicentennial Unity Plaza, and Ascension St. Vincent Pacers Training Facility. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking and motivated individual who can work independently and collaborate with the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Validate IPTVs around PSE’s campus are projecting the proper channels selected in their respective areas such as suites, offices, Levy concessions, etc.
  • Report equipment problems, ensure that repairs are made, and make emergency repairs to equipment when necessary and possible.
  • Monitor house radio channel calls for IPTV assistance and respond accordingly for technical support.
  • Troubleshoot requests such as replacing broken IPTV equipment (HDMI cables, remotes, batteries, TVs)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

AVAILABILITY:

  • Shifts are typically 4-5 hours.
  • Available to work Pacers, Fever, Mad Ants basketball games in addition to concerts and shows at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Bicentennial Unity Plaza.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred experience with IT networking or digital signage solutions but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are an absolute requirement.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondences.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from PS&E management and the public.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret oral and written directions as well as building maps.
  • Ability to manage stress and defuse potentially stressful situations.
  • Ability to work well with patrons from varied backgrounds.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Experience and knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc).
  • Experience and knowledge of television hardware and software troubleshooting.

While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate and the noise level in Gainbridge Fieldhouse / game environment is usually loud. The stress level may become high during certain times of the year.
