The Creative Project Manager is responsible for developing and executing high-level systems and procedures that provide solutions to address complex communication and workflow challenges by managing communication, maximizing available resources and maintaining the creative team's performance to meet business objectives for the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Indiana Mad Ants, Gainbridge Fieldhouse and other Pacers Sports & Entertainment businesses. In this role, they will take charge of organizing, scheduling, and maintaining workflow records and frameworks for design and copywriting within the family of businesses.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in project management within a creative-focused environment and can balance proactive problem solving, strategy, and logistics techniques to control workflow, support a culture of creativity, and build a framework and process for operations side of design.
This role balances the ability to cultivate a collaborative creative environment that fosters strategic and innovative solutions to business goals and objective while maximizing efficiencies and output within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all incoming creative requests and convert to projects; create templates, task lists, and work-back schedules in a timely manner to deliver projects and campaigns that meet company objectives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines and resource allocation.
- Monitor day-to-day creative team initiatives to ensure projects are progressing on time.
- Act as the gatekeeper to create schedules and shift workload as necessary via project management software.
- Track late tasks and recommend scheduling adjustments; communicate effectively across functions to gather additional information as needed, provide status updates, and enforce compliance.
- Onboard new users and manage license assignments within project management software.
- Utilize project management tools to implement efficiencies, including creating new templates and updating existing templates as needed for process development and improvements.
- Manage all digital systems including tools for time tracking, project management and proofing software.
- Coordinate regular status updates and stand ups to help manage work and enhance collaboration.
- Create dashboards and portfolios to give department leaders visibility into project demands and workload, allowing for proper resource allocation.
- Generate time tracking reports to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Manage project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including designers, photographers, videographers, and other departments, to ensure project success.
- Track and report project progress and resource utilization to senior management.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements to bring new and innovative ideas to the team.
- Continuously re-evaluate and audit workflow processes and proactively present changes and updates to create a more streamlined process for both our design team and our partners/clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a project management role with a focus on creative projects.
- Extensive admin experience and proficiency with project management tools and software (Asana, PageProof, or a comparable system).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to work constructively under pressure and can prioritize work activities to use time efficiently.
- Ability to balance big picture and small details; envision how projects will help business succeed and evolve while being mindful of all critical steps and information.
