POSITION SUMMARY:

Houston Dynamo FC is seeking candidates for the position of Academy Goalkeeper Coach. This position will coach the goalkeepers within the Academy while actively collaborating with the academy staff and pathway to support both individual and team development.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure players demonstrate our values of accountability, pursuit of excellence, respect, and team first
Expertly plan and execute all goalkeeping training sessions and video review sessions
Foster relationship with 1st Team Goalkeeper Coach to support development of academy goalkeepers
Support all academy matches to ensure goalkeepers are warmed up prior and engaged for entire match
Focus on individual development through goal setting, training focus, and match execution
Collaborate with Academy General Manager on high potential player development
Work with the Academy Admin and Coordinator for an organized and professional daily environment
Support the Player Care Coordinator to ensure commitment to player education and well-being
Communicate with Academy Talent ID Coordinator to actively support player identification
Support academy coaches and staff at all times throughout the season

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

USSF B, UEFA B, or CONMEBOL B coaching license required
Previous coaching experience within an MLS, UEFA or other professional club preferred
Bachelor’s degree required
Bilingual proficiency and professional playing experience is preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Experience using game analysis software (Sports Code / HUDL)
