Titletown Facilities Supervisor - Winter Operations (2nd Shift)

Position is responsible for maintaining a safe, inviting, and pleasant atmosphere for guests throughout Titletown. Responsibilities include the upkeep and maintenance of the Titletown ice rink, artificial snow areas, equipment, buildings, and grounds. Regular working hours to be 2nd shift with occasional 3rd shift hours required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the functional integrity of Titletown by ensuring equipment, buildings, and grounds are kept clean and well maintained.

  • Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and grooming of the ice rink. Ice maintenance to include edging, Zamboni operations, flooding, painting, install and removal of dasher system.

  • Maintenance of ice making equipment (compressors, chiller system).

  • Responsible for artificial snow in areas throughout Titletown, including grooming, maintenance, snow creation process, install and removal of the tube conveyor.

  • Maintenance of snow making equipment (dry cooler, snow machines).

  • Set-up and remove tables, chairs, equipment, staging, etc. as needed for special events and park functions.

  • Complete cleaning of all public area restrooms, buildings, and grounds including restocking of paper towel, toilet paper, and soap.

  • Remove snow from various hardscape locations. Participate in on-call schedule.

  • Operate the following types of equipment: Zamboni, PistenBully, forklift, aerial lifts, snowplows, bobcats, and carts.

  • Assist in supervision of contracted maintenance, projects, and improvements as directed by Facilities Manager.

  • Provide direction and leadership, monitor employee performance to ensure a well-trained, efficient, and customer friendly work staff.

  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds at other properties, and various facilities maintenance projects as needed.

  • Participate in rotation for building on-call schedule. Able to respond to emergency calls after hours.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two+ years of employment experience in building maintenance or facility operations.

  • Experience operating ice resurfacing and/or snow grooming equipment preferred.

  • Position requires a hands-on and self-starting, take-charge individual with a strong emphasis on people skills.

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work both individually and as a close-knit team.

  • Background in general maintenance and repairs, with intermediate electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC knowledge.

  • Working knowledge of power tools and equipment.

  • Possess efficient and effective resourcefulness, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • General working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Flexibility with hours to work extended and non-traditional hours, including second and third shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to reach, bend, climb, and lift on a frequent basis.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.

  • Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.

  • Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.

  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.

  • Operates in a professional environment.

  • Role routinely uses equipment and machinery.
