Packers Pro Shop Assistant Store manager: Fan Experience; Retail Sales
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the overall day-to-day operation of the Retail Stores in a professional and profitable manner. This position is fan focused and customer facing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Responsibilities:
- Assist Store Manager in the overall day-to-day operation of the Stores with emphasis on providing superior service to our fans.
- Responsible for management and support of all sales associates to achieve daily goals through effective communication to entire staff of operational information.
- Communicate directly with Retail Store Manager on daily basis regarding overall activity, opportunities, issues, etc.
- Responsible for overall execution and maintenance of Packers standards in relation to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist internal organization staff with their retail purchasing requests.
- Provide a second to none shopping experience to fans from around the world.
- Develop a strategy and utilize workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload, ensuring the store is always fan ready.
- Anticipate and identify changes in unique store trends. Assists peers in merchandising new items on the sales floor when necessary.
Position Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist Store Manager in creating and maintaining an exciting environment for our fans through effective merchandising. This includes store displays, signage, and daily maintenance.
- Oversee all fan orders and shipping from store, as well as field any fan inquiries and feedback.
- Work with I.T. on any technology/register issues that may arise. Maintain updated point of sale terminals.
- Responsible for the new associate and supervisor training program to ensure all new staff and new supervisors are adequately trained.
- Maintain and update training materials as needed.
- Assist in reporting as it pertains to store financials. Work with finance to ensure accurate accounting procedures.
- Lead the communication from building and store leaders to all associates through multiple platforms such as huddle notes and posting information for all to see.
- Work with our buyers and distribution center team to process all defective merchandise and return to vendor forms.
- Maintains registers, supplies, inventory, cleanliness, stocking, and organization of register room.
- All other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer prior retail experience or customer service background (minimum 3 years).
- Bachelors’ degree or Technical College degree preferred.
- Position requires a take-charge, hands-on mentality, with strong organizational skills.
- Position requires minimum of 40 hours per week with additional time as necessary, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events. Required home game week presence as it relates to date of game.
- A positive natured, outgoing person who works well on small and large teams with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to adapt quickly to changing priorities and environments in real time.
- Climb up and down ladder frequently and lift to 40 pounds.
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem solving, decision making, financial, and quantitative analysis.
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high stress environment, and multi-tasking while assisting fans and managing general business.
- Potential to work in varying environments, including outdoors.
