JOB SUMMARY:

The Community Outreach Department believes in being inclusive of all groups. As the only community-owned NFL team, we are committed to developing youth, supporting nonprofits and recognizing the positive impact of current and former players. Green Bay Packers Give Back, the team’s all-encompassing community outreach initiative, includes the Green Bay Packers Foundation; appearances made by players, alumni, coaches and staff; football outreach; cash and in-kind donations; Make-A-Wish visits and community events.

The approximate timeframe for this internship is one year, tentatively from January to December 2025. Slight flexibility with start/end dates based on school and team schedules. Official start/end date is subject to change and will be dictated by the Packers. This is a paid internship and entails 40+ hours during the work week (Monday-Friday). Interns may also be asked to work nights, holidays and weekends as needed. Attendance is required for all applicable home games, training camp and marquee events (i.e. Family Night, etc.).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Open all donation correspondence and prepare for review/processing.
  • Call donation requestors to educate them of our online donation process and guidelines.
  • Process school letter writing or project requests and Flat Stanley’s received from students.
  • Process Eagle Scout Recognitions and Military Retirement Requests which include entries into the BlackBaud Grantmaking System.
  • Update post-event donation information in the donation database.
  • Fulfill donation requests at distribution center, including picking, packing, and shipping items via the UPS World Ship System as well as stocking and organizing inventory.
  • Aid in the planning and coordination of community events and programs.
  • Assist with social media and take photos for various community events and game day activities.
  • Support in the writing and revision of community outreach publications.
  • Coordinate community outreach mailings.
  • Assist with youth football camps.
  • Assist the community outreach team in research, projects, and programs as directed by the Community Outreach Manager.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Zoom and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Energetic personality with excellent communication and people skills.
  • Able to build relationships with people both internally and externally on an extremely professional level.
  • Organized. Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated. Able to adhere to deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule required to include nights, weekends, and game days.
  • Ability to contribute to an overall team effort.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to reach, stoop, and lift on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
  • Operates in a professional office environment.
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment.

SUPERVISES:This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
