Job Summary:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing innovative creative materials for Sports & Entertainment brands (Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, and The District Detroit) across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities / Skill Requirements:
- Design and layout of projects and campaigns from beginning conceptual stages through approval, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and on time delivery for specified medium/channel (ie - web, social, email, print, signage)
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
- Work with copywriters and creative team leadership to produce final design
- Test graphics across various media
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
- Leverage internal data & analytics tools to identify learnings related to concepts/designs/attributes that are best supporting our ability to deliver against our business objectives
- Be up to speed on latest design trends and industry best practices
- Be a brand steward across all properties
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Work cross functionally with marketing, ticketing, sponsorships, and other relevant departments

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Fine Arts, Media Arts, Graphic Design, and two to four years related design experience at an ad agency, design firm, or within an internal creative services team; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and experience.
- Possess the highest integrity and ethical standards
- Ability to lead projects to ensure creative requests deadlines are met.
- Proficiency in taking direction and executing changes when necessary
- Help maintain and improve the infrastructure of an organized archive of digital assets for the creative services department
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible to shift between projects as new priorities emerge
- Discussion and problem-solving skills regarding department practices and procedures
- Ability to work on collaborative projects and independently
- Must have thorough knowledge of graphics-related Macintosh software including Adobe Creative Cloud programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. Motion graphics, video editing, and/or 3D graphic experience a plus.
- Attentive to detail and direction and have excellent organizational skills.
