JOB SUMMARY: Video-focused internship with the Dallas Stars Production Department. Under direction of the Production Manager, work alongside members of the Production, Game Presentation, Broadcast, and Graphic Design teams to accomplish multimedia goals. Position will be September 2024 through April 2025.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist with logging and archiving of game footage, following established protocols for organization and metadata
Provide coverage of various events including shooting video, capturing interviews, and producing recaps
Assist in content creation for Dallas Stars media channels including social, web, and arena
Opportunity to work behind the scenes at Stars home games to learn more about live event production and roles
Work with Frisco Fighters marketing team on creative content and in-arena production
Strong work ethic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work among a team or individually to complete projects
Knowledge of video production processes required
Comfortable receiving feedback and making changes to the content
Further develop and enhance Dallas Stars productions and game presentation

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience with non-linear video editing (Adobe Premiere) & supporting applications (Adobe Creative Cloud)
Knowledge of Sony camera equipment a plus
After Effects and video FX skills (or interest in developing) a plus
Ability to take initiative, remain organized and detailed, multi-task, troubleshoot and solve problems
Maintain professionalism working with sponsors, athletes, and team personnel
Minimum of one year experience in sports entertainment or production preferred
Degree completed or currently majoring in a relevant field
