50/50 Raffle Sales Representative

The Dallas Stars Hockey Club is looking for game day staff members to sell 50/50 raffle tickets to guests at each Dallas Stars home game at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Half of the jackpot proceeds raised from raffle ticket sales will go to the guest with the winning ticket; and the other half will benefit the Dallas Stars Foundation and local nonprofits. The mission of the Dallas Stars Foundation is to nurture and enrich the lives of those in need in our communities. Staff members will help accomplish our mission through promoting the 50/50 raffle sales and the Dallas Stars Foundation. This seasonal position will follow the Dallas Stars hockey schedule from September through April (with potential dates through June).

JOB SUMMARY:
The 50/50 raffle sales associates are in charge of selling tickets to guests at each Dallas Stars home game at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Half of the jackpot proceeds raised from raffle ticket sales will go to the guest with the winning ticket; and the other half will benefit the Dallas Stars Foundation and local nonprofits. This seasonal position will follow the Dallas Stars hockey schedule from September through April (with potential dates through June). This position is not eligible for remote work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Communicate the 50/50 raffle rules and procedures to guests
  • Facilitate and process raffle ticket sales via electronic devices at stationary and/or mobile locations throughout the arena
  • Accept and account for cash on a nightly basis
  • Proactively approach and engage customers to meet or exceed sales goals


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Energetic personality with prior sales experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to proactively approach and engaged customers to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced sports environment
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk up to 4-5 hours
  • Efficiently handle electronic devices
  • Passion for sports and/or charity work


Physical Demands and Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an arena environment, with noise levels usually quite loud.
