Position based in: Concacaf Headquarters, Miami

POSITION PURPOSE:
Supports the Accounting Department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participate in the month-end process, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Generate and process customer/vendor invoices, verify billing information, terms, and coding for accuracy. Monitor and manage payments/collections and accounts payable/receivable aging. Provide insights and analysis of key performance indicators.
  • Communicate with customers regarding overdue payments, discrepancies, and billing inquires.
  • Process and oversees Concur expense credit card and employee reimbursement reports.
  • Assist the Treasury Department on the preparation of the bi-weekly payment run list.
  • Prepares and analyzes accounting reports in Microsoft Great Plains and Concur.
  • Assists with related Accounting Ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Assists with the external and internal audits.
  • Reviews revenue and expense contracts comply with the Finance Policy and ensures that the Vendor and Customer Contract Management files are updated timely.
  • Responsible for accounting on-boarding training, backup for AP Analyst and Staff Accountant as needed.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A) in Accounting
  • +1 year of relevant Accounting and AP/AR experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required. Must be comfortable with Pivot Table and V-lookup functions in excel.
  • Microsoft Great Plains experience preferred.
  • Flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and must be able to operate at a fast pace.
  • Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills. Ideal candidate is bilingual (English/French or Spanish)
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
