The Role of Academy Catering Supervisor

The Academy Catering Supervisor will have some kitchen experience but doesn’t necessarily need to be trained as a chef – ensuring food is prepared to the correct temperature and serving, while taking care of front of house responsibilities.

This is a full-time role with the expectation of weekend work on some occasions, as part of the overall working week.

The successful candidate will be pleasant and chatty, with the ability to interact seamlessly with staff, players and their guests.

Main Accountabilities

  • Support the Head Chef to prepare and serve high quality food & beverage
  • Operate and deliver food & beverage service
  • Monitor quality of food, portion control and preparation of dietary provisions
  • Ensure staff meet customer needs and maintain high levels of catering provision
  • Ensure front of house is kept tidy and well stocked with hot drink provision
  • Maintain high levels of record keeping e.g. ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in accordance with food hygiene health and safety regulations,
  • Ensure defects and breakdowns are reported correctly
  • Assist the Head Chef with statutory risk assessments and COSHH related to catering functions
  • Take an active role in service improvements
  • Ensure that all contact with players and their representatives complies with the Club’s Safeguarding Policy
  • To ensure that any concerns you observe, or are raised with you in your role, are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels
