Who are we:
A professional basketball team and state-of-the-art arena/entertainment venue that specializes in creating memorable experiences for each guest we interact with. We are proud to be the worlds first TRUE Platinum Zero Waste venue, diverting over 90% from landfills from all events and as the Sustainability intern you will focus on areas like event readiness through quality control checklist, data management, auditing, analysis, staying current with new sustainability trends and innovations, assisting the zero-waste operation and other duties as required.

Must be able to complete an array of physical tasks around the Arena as well as the ability to complete technical and administrative tasks such as, researching new technologies, preparing presentations, maintaining databases, etc. Relocation and housing expenses are the responsibility of the student intern. (Please note, this role must live and work out of the Atlanta, GA area.)

Responsibilities:

  • Data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Event planning and execution
  • Assist in managing the zero-waste/sorting operation.
  • Research current sustainable trends and emerging available technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Ability to contribute to the planning of huddles
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Demonstrates ability to take initiative and be proactive

Education and Experience:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited HBCU College or University as a rising Junior and Senior
  • Field of Study: Analytics Business, Communications, Environmental and Marketing
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
