POSITION: Work Order Control Clerk, part-time, year round

DEPARTMENT: Atlanta Braves Engineering, Facility Operations

REPORTS TO: Assistant Facility Manager

This position provides support to the Facility Operations department within Atlanta Braves Engineering, including phone and radio coverage during baseball games and large-scale events, mailroom operations assistance, property inspections, inventory control and administrative tasks. The position is year-round part-time with a maximum of 30 hours per week.

During the baseball season, workdays and hours are dependent on the home game schedule. During away stands and the off-season, work hours can be tailored to the employee’s schedule and availability.

A successful candidate will have customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel. Knowledge and understanding of database input system(s) is preferred but not required as training will be provided. Must be a detail-oriented self-starter able to follow instructions with minimal supervision; must be able to multi-task efficiently; superb organization skills necessary; professional demeanor and presence required; experience in any of the following is a plus: building maintenance, property management, architecture, interior design, construction operations. Must be able to work during the Braves home games, including evenings and weekends.

SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDES, but is not limited to:

  • Answer incoming maintenance requests and dispatch trouble calls to the appropriate maintenance personnel for all Braves home games and other large-scale events at Truist Park
  • Document incoming requests on required forms and input into Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Insert, update, and complete work orders in the CMMS
  • Maintain Request for Service and Preventive Maintenance Work Order files
  • Cross train in all areas related to the efficient operation of the Work Order Control Center at Truist Park
  • Provide administrative assistance as needed
  • Assist with special projects and tasks throughout the year
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically Word, Excel (with basic knowledge of formulas/functions) and PowerPoint
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - IBM Maximo experience preferred, but not required.
  • Able to be on your feet for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs at a time
  • Familiarity with office operations in property management/building support environment, such as construction company, architecture & design firm, facility maintenance department
  • Cheerful and friendly disposition with a willingness to assist above and beyond job responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful or demanding situations
  • An understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures and the ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds in all levels within the company
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • An interest and understanding of professional baseball
  • Must complete a successful Criminal and Credit background check
