The Senior Generalist is responsible for performing People Capital (Human Resources) duties on a professional level and works closely with the PC Managers and the PC Leadership team in supporting the Atlanta Braves Organization. The Senior Generalist should be able to handle daily core HR functions while providing exceptional customer services and operating under the umbrella of operational excellence. The Senior Generalist reports to the People Capital Manager/Business Partner.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to perform administrative, strategic, and planning duties.
  • Act as the Business Partner for all gameday & part-time managers, managing all aspects of the employee life cycle including onboarding, off-boarding, and employee relations issues.
  • Ability to lead investigations and handle complex employee relations issues.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and detailed documentation.
  • Assist with data maintenance and integrity of the HRIS system.
  • Ensure employee files are complaint and up to date.
  • Ability to run reports as necessary to analyze and audit data.
  • Assist business partners with performance reviews, bonuses, merits, and other administrative tasks.
  • Lead new hire orientation for both front office and gameday staff.
  • Lead internal employee engagement programs which includes planning events and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the employee verification process.
  • Act as first point of contact for employees by responding to inquiries and requests.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the organization.
  • Assist with payroll, recruitment, and benefits administration tasks, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administrated or a related field.
  • Three to Five years of Human Resources generalist experience.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Workday.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships through a dedicated focus on client service and delivery.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Service orientated with a proactive and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment.
