Position Overview: HVAC mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, maintenance of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and BAC systems. General maintenance duties include basic carpentry and plumbing skills.
Major responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventative maintenance and repair of commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform basic sheet metal duct fabrication/repair.
- Maintain maintenance records, schedules, charts, etc., as required to ensure proper and timely P.M. or repair of HVAC equipment, systems and structures.
- All work is to be performed with the highest possible standard of quality and in compliance with department policies/procedures, industry, and safety standards.
- Read and interpret mechanical and architectural drawings, operations manuals, control schematics, etc.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Perform basic carpentry and plumbing maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of HVAC construction or maintenance experience.
- Basic computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications.
- Good oral and written communication and expression skills in working effectively with all individuals.
- Be a highly motivated self-starter.
- Exercise good judgement in dealing with co-workers, vendors, construction personnel and Braves Management.
- Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- May be subject to after-hour emergencies, 24-hour/7-days per week on call.
- Ability to perform duties using ladders, scaffolding and aerial platform equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 70 lbs.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 3 years Commercial and/or Industrial HVAC experience.
- Experience must include hands-on practical knowledge of water heaters, commercial air handling equipment, pumps, BAS and DDC controls.
- Experience in the operation/maintenance of centrifugal chillers a plus.
- Proactive, organized and detail-oriented person who can prioritize assignments and follow through with minimal supervision.
- Ability to use basic carpentry tools/equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated individual with high degree of responsibility, sense of urgency and accountability
- Must be a team player, who cares about the team's work and success.
- Should have an interest in or understanding of professional baseball.
- Must complete a successful Criminal and Credit background check.
- A valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
