Manager, Partnership Marketing

Job Purpose

The role requires an experienced professional candidate that can lead the creation and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns for corporate partners, while developing long-term and meaningful relationships at all levels. Primary responsibilities include managing a portfolio of assigned corporate partners and their marketing initiatives to include creating, measuring and executing mutually beneficial promotions, implementation of contractual assets and communicating outcomes emphasizing their value in an effort to overdeliver on each initiative.

Primary (Essential) Duties

  • Lead all corporate partnership contractual elements that may include promotions, signage, print, hospitality, digital, special events, community impact programs and VIP experiences
  • Develop, strengthen and maintain relationships at multiple levels of key contacts for assigned partner portfolio through frequent and routine communication and meaningful engagements
  • Provide creative direction on all assets involving partner inclusion to ensure brand standards are met for co-promotions, special events and marketing execution
  • Document, create and present routine partner updates and an end of season recap for assigned partners that demonstrates the value of the partnership
  • Identify additional partner activation opportunities to bring partners together for successful campaigns, generate incremental revenue or align partner with community impact programs
  • Initiate development of proposals, contracts and partner planning documents
  • Expand knowledge of business and industry trends to aid in professional development and add value to partner relationships and marketing initiatives

To perform this job successfully within the Corporate Partnerships Department, you must be self-starter and results-orientated with a drive to perform each essential duty proactively and successfully. Candidate should be thorough, organized, communicate proactively, and demonstrate high attention to detail. They thrive on inter-personal relationships and can collaborate closely with cross-functional team members to create and deliver successful marketing initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities

  • Ability to proactively manage multiple tasks and projects effectively while balancing changing priorities
  • Knowledge of business principles, marketing, strategic planning and project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with a high level of comfort with other online creative tools such as Canva and Adobe Acrobat
  • Brand minded to ensure proper use of trademarks and logos
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to provide detailed direction or delivery concise status reporting
  • High level of comfort in presentation and public speaking scenarios
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks with little to no direction
  • Strong work ethic with passion for sports business looking to make a strong organizational impact

Experience/Education Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in preferred field of Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Advertising Agency or Communications
  • 3-5 years of independent and direct experience in client services with a sports property, agency or other marketing outlet
  • Minimum of one year of hands-on experience leading or mentoring a jr level team member or intern(s)
