Several exciting opportunities have arisen to join the FA of Wales National Team programme Performance Department. The purpose of the role is to support youth national teams during international training camps and fixtures. Additionally, there would be a strong interest in implementing an applied research strategy across the national youth team programme.
In the role the successful candidate will assist in providing fitness, conditioning and monitoring support to national youth team players, while potentially collecting data to support the wider National Research Centre strategy. This will be part of the National Research Centre aims and objectives that will also consider the psychological load, wellbeing, performance and injury profile of youth players. The position will be a hybrid role and the specific locations will vary based on the international calendar.

The FAW is governed by a Board of Directors made up of an Independent Chair, the CEO, two Independent Non-Executives, the four Officers of the FAW and three elected Members. The FAW Board is responsible to the Shareholders of the FAW called the FAW Council. The Council is made up of elected and nominated representatives from Welsh Football. The FAW Council, with the FAW Executive, manages football related activities through a series of committees. The CEO has the responsibility to manage the business and all staff employed by the FAW.
