JOB SUMMARY: This position’s primary responsibility will be to cater all meals at home and on the road for the Texas Rangers AAA Affiliate, including planning menus with RD approval, communicating meal details to staff, and assisting with managing the AAA meal budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Research and contact vendors to coordinate meal orders for home and road games.
• Propose menus for each week of the Minor League baseball season and meet with the Minor League Performance Nutrition Coordinator to discuss upcoming meals.
• Create and design educational templates and materials.
• Assist with tracking and updating the meal budget.
• Aid in vetting supplements for safety, efficacy, dosage and price.
• Gain experience in writing SOAP notes to chart athletes’ progress.
• Shadow other professionals such as ATC’s, strength coaches, operations personnel and observe performance team meetings.
• Perform literature reviews and help writing protocols.
• Assist with team talks/educations/cooking demos/grocery store tours.
• Assist with Major League administrative duties.
• All other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A desire to pursue sports nutrition as a career path.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including, but not limited to nights and weekends.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and complete projects in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff members.
• Ability to work proactively and independently.
