JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the maintenance and conditioning of playing field for Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Prepare, maintain and restore grounds within assigned field complex as directed, including any and all activities or tasks fundamental to multiple sports and events

• Safely operate various grounds equipment such as carts, forklifts, skid loaders, sprayers, tractors, turf groomers, etc.

• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes and tamps

• Maintain, clean and repair tools, equipment and structures

• Ensure use of proper equipment and adhere to safety standards and precautions

• Monitor and report issues, problems and/or concerns on assigned field complex

• Work with other Stadium Operations staff as directed

• Perform other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 year field maintenance experience at a baseball/athletic facility preferred not required

• Skilled in all technical areas of field maintenance, including equipment use, mound and plate maintenance and infield skin maintenance

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, equipment operation manuals and rule and regulation documents

• Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays as required

• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds

• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time and work in extreme heat and harsh conditions

• Ability to stand; walk; sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods of time
