Football Technology Intern (Full Time/Post-Graduate)

This position is responsible for assisting the Technology Department in day-to-day operation with the football training facility in Pittsburgh. This position would work closely with the IT Dept and Football Video Department handling the day-to-day technical troubleshooting with multiple systems and devices.
Potential candidates would be required to work non-traditional schedules, and during football season weekends and holidays may be required.
The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate, with extensive experience working directly with a college football team performing many of the same job functions, a highly technical former individual with experience in football video shooting and editing.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Work with IT staff to field basic trouble tickets and service requests
  • Responding to and handling the organization’s Help Desk calls to completion
  • Assist with support of desktop and laptop computers, telephones, cell phones, and mobile devices
  • Assist in camera work when needed for practice and/or games
  • Work closely with Coaches and Scouts to assist with any video and computer needs
  • Configure and distribute new desktop and laptop computers as well as tablets and mobile devices

Qualifications and Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Basic knowledge of PC Hardware and troubleshooting hardware failures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Apple OSX/macOS.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Adobe Suite of Products
  • Experience working with a video department at the college leveling including use of camera in practice
  • Experience with Catapult Thunder
  • Be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and Wi-Fi.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and implement modern technologies.
