ABOUT OUR COMPANY
Philadelphia was awarded the 16th Major League Soccer franchise in February, 2008 and the team was officially announced as the Philadelphia Union in May, 2009. Owned and operated by Union Sports and Entertainment, the group launched the Philadelphia Union's inaugural season in 2010 and opened what is now Subaru Park in June, 2010. Subaru Park is an 18,500 seat, world-class soccer specific stadium that sits beautifully along the Delaware River at the base of the Commodore Barry Bridge and is only 15 miles from downtown Philadelphia.

The club has reached the finals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2014, 2015 and 2018, and has appeared in the MLS Cup Playoffs in 2011, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, securing their first showing in the CONCACAF Champions League in 2021. In 2020, the Union were awarded the club’s first Supporters’ Shield after finishing with the best regular season record in MLS. The club hosted the Eastern Conference Final in 2021 and were named the Eastern Conference Champions in 2022. The 2022 season finished at the MLS Cup against LAFC, in one of the most intense matches in League history!

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Philadelphia Union seeks a highly creative and organized individual to join our game presentation department. The Coordinator, Game Presentation and Match Day Operations will assist with all game presentation and logistical assets involved in Philadelphia Union home matches and other soccer events at Subaru Park.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with game presentation elements for all Philadelphia Union games including Color Guard, half-time activities, theme nights, ceremonies, mascot, and in-game special effects.
  • Assist with PA announcement reads, gameday script build and control room load ins.
  • Assist with Host reads and activations for gamedays
  • Assist with the supporter relationship as it relates to game presentation.
  • Act as a field producer on gamedays.
  • Responsible for keeping all players, technical staff and officials aligned with the match timeline and giving cues for warmups, procession and half-time.
  • Oversee the game day volunteer program and gameday employees.
  • Handle all credential requests.
  • Create packets for officials, field crew and each technical staff for Union and Union II games.
  • Lead all pre-match meetings with Doop Squad and stadium staff.
  • Liaison for all visiting supporter groups.
  • Assist with the Plaza / Union Yards planning and activation on gamedays.
  • Lead match day operations for all Union II home matches.
  • Support other marketing department events as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Event Management, Theater, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a professional sports or live events.
  • Previous Game Presentation or Operations internship strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence large groups in high pressure environments.
  • Eager to pitch and implement new presentation ideas to elevate fan experiences at Subaru Park.
  • Proven written and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be prepared to work Union II and Union matches, which may include evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
