Job Reports To: Vice President, Ticket Sales & Service
Status: Exempt

The Director of Ticket Sales is responsible for leading the day-to-day success of the Season Ticket Sales Team, and directly reports to the Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service. The Director of Ticket Sales is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive the maximization of ticket revenue and achieve a consistent sold-out atmosphere for the Nashville Predators in collaboration with the Guest Experience, Group Sales, Inside Sales, Business Strategy, and Marketing leads.

Additionally, the Director of Ticket Sales will lead, motivate, and hold accountable the sales team and team members to meet and exceed established sales and service goals and objectives, while functioning as a collaborative teammate with all other areas of the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the ticket sales & service leadership team responsible for achieving sales goals through the sale of ticket products (Season Ticket Memberships, Partial Plans, Group Tickets, and Premium Tickets
  • Be responsible for the leadership, oversight, and accountability of the Predators ticket sales team and assist with the Guest Experience, Group Sales, Sales Academy, and SS&E Sales team leaders as a cohesive group.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales team members
  • Execute short and long-term strategic plans to meet and exceed the organization’s ticket sales goals.
  • Help lead the sales team through the transformation of a traditional season ticket platform to a year-round engaging membership platform.
  • Contribute to the implementation of organized systems, processes, and measurements to manage progress and success of each sales discipline (specifically New Season Ticket membership sales) effectively and efficiently.
  • Set and manage accountability of the sales & service team to adopt and increase CRM utilization.
  • Collaborate with the Business Strategy & Analytics team to monitor and manage revenue pipeline leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing group on strategies to increase incoming leads and lead generation campaigns specific to Ticket Memberships and Partial Plans.
  • Work in partnership with the SS&E Sales and Marketing, to achieve ticket sales goals and objectives for Austin Peay State University Athletics, F&M Bank Arena, and our expanded partners.
  • Take ownership of championing a passionate sales culture within the revenue team and contribute to the advancement of our workplace culture by sparking energy, motivating, and inspiring team members.
  • Be an active and collaborative leader across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university is required, preferably in sports administration, management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years demonstrated success in sales leadership in the Sports/Entertainment industry.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team of sales professionals with varying levels of experience.
  • Proven success in executing successful ticket sales strategies that increase season ticket holders and season ticket revenue.
  • Passionate about delivering an excellent human experience and has a deep understanding of the role we play in creating extraordinary experiences that impact someone’s life, memories, and connection to community.

  • Strong campaign management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and forecasting skills with the ability to use data to drive insights and decision making.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • High finger dexterity for large document typing.
  • Occasional heavy lifting/ moving of items up to 50lbs.
  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, and loud noise.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speech.
