Job Title: Director of Finance – Ford Ice Centers

Job Reports To: Controller (Nashville Predators)
Status: Exempt
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Responsible for all accounting activities:
- Complete month-end close process, including but not limited to; general ledger preparation / entries, accruals, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and DaySmart (sports and facility management software) reconciliations.
- Prepare and manage annual budget under guidance from EVP of SSE and Nashville Predators Controller.
- Review and process accounts payable information in an accurate and timely manner:

- Review invoices and expense reports for proper documentation, accuracy and approvals.
- Enter invoices and expense reports into Papersave and Intaact (accounting software).
- Perform weekly check run.
- Prepare and distribute Form 1099s and maintain W9s file for all vendors.
- Process invoices and monitor accounts receivable to ensure all ice time and other revenue is being properly billed and reconciled to revenue.
- Work directly with Nashville Predators Accounting Manager regarding Sponsorship revenue entries and collections.
- Prepare schedules, file sales tax returns, and submit payment monthly to the TN Department of Revenue.
- Deposit all checks timely and maintain appropriate supporting documentation to record deposits in DaySmart and Intacct.
- Manage petty cash funds and cash banks for concessions, including maintaining and reviewing receipts and replenishing cash.
- Prepare weekly / monthly financial schedules to provide Ford Ice Center Managers with relevant information regarding revenue and budget to actual tracking. Analyze data and assist Managers in achieving financial goals.
- Monitor IGF (Industry Growth Fund) funding from NHL. Work in conjunction with Ford Ice Center staff to track expenses and submit annual league applications / filings.
- Oversee financial performance of third-party Food and Beverage operator.
- Analyze and monitor the performance of the concessions to identify deficiencies, opportunities, and best practices for safeguarding assets.
- Engage and build a strong relationship with the third-party manager to produce a one team atmosphere with the food and beverage operations.
- Develop procedures / processes to increase efficiency, maximize resources and ensure clear communication between all entities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Responsible for upholding company-wide policies by establishing and maintaining clear lines of communication, ensuring that guidelines implemented at Ford Ice Center are consistent with affiliates.
- Provide continuous, superior customer service and exceed internal and external customer expectations with service, communication, and urgency. Likewise, provide creative recommendations and proactive solutions to internal and external customer issues.
- Communicate with supervisors and manage workload and anticipated timeline for completion of tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s in accounting, CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles required.
- Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with Intacct accounting software preferred.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and time management skills required.
- Ability to work flexible hours required, including nights and weekends.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Possess a valid driver’s license, possess a suitable driving history and be insurable by FIC’s insurance carrier.

Essential Physical Functions:
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
- Must have high finger dexterity.
- Working under extreme deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speech.
