The Purpose:
As one of the largest football clubs in the world, we continue to innovate in terms of how we engage and connect with our global fan base. Within the Creative Department, we are looking for an Art Director to help us drive new and exciting campaigns for the club and our partners.

The Role:
You will lead the concept and design of innovative visual solutions for cross-channel initiatives in this role. You will offer a new dynamic to an already leading, first-class creative team with excellent conceptual thinking skills. Daily, you will:

  • Create powerful concepts for club and partner campaigns and projects
  • Lead creative projects, whether creating or presenting storyboards
  • Create, develop and produce original and innovative creative ideas that deliver results and align with our business goals
  • Be a channel specialist with a clear understanding of delivering content across different channels
  • Communicate and advocate creative thinking and technical execution to the team throughout the project
  • Have a strong conceptual vision with the ability to execute on-brief, on-brand and on-budget


The Person:

  • Minimum three years of creative experience in art direction either in-house or at an advertising agency.
  • Excellent conceptual ideation skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • A strong, proven art portfolio, with particular emphasis on conceptual thinking.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience on-set at photo and video shoots.
  • Comfortable directing talent and working alongside photographers and videographers.
  • An understanding of creating brand-led work, challenged and connected to relevant audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills and are able to present ideas with solid rationale and conviction.
  • Immersed in creative culture with an ability to use current insights to inform work.
  • Passion and energy, willing to challenge and push new creative thinking in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience in collaborating with Art Directors, Designers, Video Editors and Creative Directors.
  • No sports experience is required, but interest in sports is encouraged.
