Electrician

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking to recruit an experienced electrician to work across the club, using their working knowledge and experience of commercial electrical systems to install, repair, test and maintain power, and fault-find, on existing and new systems, to club standards and to maintain those systems whilst upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations for all electrical work throughout the club.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Carry out electrical tasks and reactive maintenance

· Carry out fault finding, rectification and testing to electrical systems

· Carry out installations and project works as required

· Complete inspection and testing of all electrical systems

· Complete portable appliance testing

· Complete paperwork and ensure records are kept up to date for works completed whilst also liaising with fellow maintenance staff and management team

· Responsible for onsite generators

· Manage and support electrical contractors

· Ensure compliance with all of the clubs policies and procedures

· Ensure understanding, awareness and compliance at all times with the Club’s Health & Safety Policy.

· Ensure excellent organisational and communication skills, taking a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required

MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education/Qualifications/Training: Essential Criteria

· Be electrically qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent City and Guilds

· Hold C&G 2391, 2394 and 2395 qualifications

· Hold 17th/18th edition IEE Wiring Regulations

· Have demonstrated experience carrying out Electrical Maintenance and installation within a Commercial environment

· Experience in Inspection and Testing

· Experience in the installation and maintenance of general and emergency lighting; fire alarms; access control systems; power distribution; heating and ventilation

· To be self-motivated and the ability to work under pressure

Desirable Criteria

· IPAF/PASMA training desirable but not essential

· PAT testing advantageous but not essential

Additional Information:

· This a Part-Time role, the hours of which can be flexible

· Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK

· Ensure you have been briefed and are confident in using any equipment prior to use and seek guidance from your line manager as required.

· Regularly review risk assessments, safe working, and management systems associated with your role.

· Liaise regularly with the Club’s appointed Health & Safety representatives to support and maintain compliance

· Maintain records of all Health & Safety issues within your role and area of responsibility.
