Job Title: Director, Business Solutions

Position Summary:
The Director, Business Solutions will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives and business solutions to enhance corporate partnerships. This individual is responsible for directing the strategy, innovation and creative development team that will help drive current and new business partnerships. The individual will work collaboratively with the sales team and connect directly with key decision-makers on a regular basis to help secure large multi-year deals stretching across all three Lakers properties (Los Angeles Lakers, South Bay Lakers, Lakers Gaming). They will serve as the primary liaison with the NBA league office and will partner with legal to oversee the drafting and review of partner contracts and agreements.
Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities):
- Manage a team of two (2) designers who manage the creation and optimization of pitch decks and other presentation materials
- Ensure the design work aligns with brand standards and effectively communications the value proposition to potential partners
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment
- Lead strategic development and ongoing maintenance of all corporate partnership sales materials to include presentations, one-sheets and case studies
- Make creative and strategic recommendations using partnership assets (in-arena signage, media, social, digital) that deliver on partner brand objectives
- Work closely with Director, Partner Activation to ensure seamless execution of partnership deliverables
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal business units for asset alignment and creation, including game entertainment, community relations, social media, digital marketing, and the NBA league office.
- Review initial partnership proposal elements with the sales team
- Partner with legal to oversee drafting and review of partner agreements
- Monitor and manage partnership asset inventory using Dynamics / CRM
- Assist with analytic reports with Business Analytics in relation to sponsor activations, brand exposure performance valuations, and fan data to be used in prospecting materials, sales presentations and partner proposals
- Lead various inventory and/or sponsorship package valuations (e.g. Social media or Jersey patch valuation)
- Manage relationship with third party partners and research vendors and Business Analytics group to deliver on specific campaigns and tactics

- Sponsor Impact Measurement: Turnkey/MarketCast,
- Social Media Valuation: ReloMetrics,
- Sales/Prospecting: Sponsor United, Winmo
- CRM Management: Microsoft Dynamics
- Monitor and report on the performance of partnership initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

Education:
Previous Experience:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in business development, strategic planning or partnership management, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry
- A minimum of one (1) year managing a team
Technology Capabilities:
- CRM, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Nielsen, Relo Metrics or similar valuation platforms
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to manage long-term projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to drive operational efficiencies
- Can cultivate positive relationships and interpersonal skills with multiple departments
- Demonstrated track record of cross-functional leadership and breaking down barriers of communication
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and quotas
Location:
- El Segundo (offices M-F), downtown Los Angeles (Crypto.com Area for select Lakers home games), and other off-site client meetings
The pay range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications
