Events and Operations Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as an Events and Operations Coordinator. In this varied role, you will support the planning, administration, and execution of International club events which includes liaising with suppliers, managing logistics, and coordinating with internal departments to deliver successful events that meet set objectives.

What will you be doing?

  • Assist in the ideation, planning, and management of international club-centric events.
  • Support in creating consistent event planning and reporting documents, ensuring that departments are utilising these documents and providing support where needed.
  • Supporting the travel team in ensuring the risk and crisis management plans are in place and signed off by senior stakeholders prior to the event taking place.
  • Facilitate the International Working Group, ensuring an agenda is set and actions are followed up.
  • Support the travel team in the coordination of international matchday requests, including commercial appearances, training, matchday logistics, and accommodations.
  • Support the liaison between various teams (marketing, sales, media, press, etc.) to ensure all contractual requirements are met and opportunities for revenue are identified.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring all events are compliant with club policies, health and safety regulations, and other legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
  • Support the development of functional and departmental plans aligned with the club’s strategic priorities, particularly focusing on sustainability.
  • Promote best practices in event management across the club.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful, you will have a proven track in coordinating and supporting international and large scale events ideally in a sports or entertainment environment. You will have a good knowledge of marketing, sales, and media operations in a sports context. You’ll be computer literate and highly proficient in MS Office software, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

With your excellent interpersonal skills, you can build and maintain good working relationships at all levels across the Club. You will be professional, confident, credible, enthusiastic team player with a flexible, "can-do" attitude. You will have good project coordination experience and strong written and verbal communication skills. Having demonstrable analytical skills, you can organise data and information with a degree of accuracy and attention to detail together with creativity when solving problems. You can work independently and as part of a team adapting quickly to a dynamic environment with fast paced and changing priorities. You will have demonstrable experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines as well as the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to work onsite in Chapel Street a minimum of 3 days per week and have a flexible approach to travel.
