The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football team and a member of the National Football League’s AFC South Division. About Bold Events

Bold Events, LLC, a sister company of the Jacksonville Jaguars, is an events business responsible for attracting and planning major and minor events at EverBank Stadium and Daily’s Place in downtown Jacksonville, Fla. This includes programming at the Daily’s Place amphitheater and Dream Finders Home Flex Field, as well as the unique spaces throughout EverBank Stadium, such as the Club and Fields Auto Group Terrace Suite. Bold Events serves as a one-stop concierge service for planning and executing events such as concerts, festivals, corporate and social events on a year-round basis.

Summary

This position will be primarily focused on the security management of the Daily’s Place amphitheater, which is managed by Bold Events, LLC, an affiliate of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Daily’s Place Security Manager is responsible for all safety and security operations of Daily’s Place Amphitheater to ensure guest, artist, and venue safety. This position reports to the Director of Facilities Security for the Jacksonville Jaguars and oversees planning, coordinating, and management of all event and venue security related functions within Daily’s Place Amphitheater. This position will manage the implementation and execution of daily and event policies and procedures for the efficient and safe operation of Daily’s Place Amphitheater, as well as assist with continued development, implementation, and maintenance of physical security measures and technologies relevant to industry standards. Top candidates must have proven experience in developing comprehensive safety, security, and emergency preparedness planning for live music concerts, festivals, and other types of events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures for the venue.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies with oversight of the venue’s operation.
  • Oversee 24-hour security operation for Daily’s Place Amphitheater during both event and non-event hours of operation.
  • Participate in budget/operations planning to set priorities and goals.
  • Assist in vetting outside resources; reviewing security contracts; overseeing investigations and assisting with crisis/incident planning and response.
  • Help to identify appropriate security technologies and solutions that will positively impact operations, fan experience and business objectives.
  • Schedule and lead contract security, law enforcement and medical services for events.
  • Interact effectively and in a professional and mature manner with clients and peers at all levels within an organization and throughout the community.
  • Advance security related requirements for concerts and events with tour representatives, promoters, or clients.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree, minimum 5 years of prior experience directly responsible for managing all aspects of both the physical and electronic security posture in a large venue.
  • High-level understanding of principles and practices of safety, security, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of standard fire evacuation procedures/drills and other contingency measures.
  • Experience in the proper staffing levels required for traditional arena-style events.
  • Maintain awareness of new developments and trends in the field of security and risk management.
  • Ability to work in dark, bright, smoky, dusty, cold and/or confined spaces.
  • Able to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time on hard surfaces.
  • Comfortable working around large crowds.
  • The position requires strong management, administrative, supervisory, training, presentation, consultant, and facilitator skills. Strong written and verbal communications are needed.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Skill in assessing security risks and needs.
  • Experience in live-music concerts, festival, and special event security and public assembly venue security.
  • Advanced comprehension of guest services and security roles in a facility environment.
  • Training relevant to crowd management/crowd control, security systems and emergency preparedness/response
  • Proven strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Significant experience with access control measures, screening operations, and VIP security.
  • Proven ability in developing security plans, physical security assessments and risk assessments.
  • Execute other job duties as assigned.
