The mission of the Houston Texans Draft Class program is to provide chosen future sports professionals the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the professional sports industry through exposure throughout the Houston Texans organization. The chosen future sports professional will make meaningful contributions to Houston Texans business and/or football operations through in-depth meaningful curriculum and experiences.

The Houston Texans are seeking an individual for the position of Partnerships Intern.

Basic Function:
Assist in maintaining current relationships with Houston Texans ("Club") corporate partners, Luxe Members and internal-department personnel while focusing on the fulfillment of contractual obligations both by the sponsor and the Club.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with sponsorship fulfillment at all Texans Marketing, Community and Foundation programs such as Draft Party, Training Camp, Taste of the Texans, Charity Golf Tournament, Lone Star Sports & Entertainment events, etc.
  • Assist with gameday sponsorship fulfillment and activation for partnership marketing and Luxe service teams.
  • Assist with autograph merchandise fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Assist Partnership Marketing department with the collection of materials and information for sponsorship "proof of performance" recaps.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of partnership and Luxe events.
  • Assist Partnership Marketing representatives with tracking and editing partnership assets within sponsorship management software.
  • Assist with off-site and in-person events and player appearances.
  • Coordinate photography needs for sponsored events.
  • Assist with database input (partner profiles, digital scheduling, surveys, etc.) when needed.
  • Assist with all departmental mailings to sponsors and Luxe members (print work, invitations, packages, gifts, etc.).
  • Provide exceptional customer service internally and externally.
  • Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by departmental leadership.

Subject to reasonable accommodations, position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner.


Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities in a high-energy environment.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
  • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a positive, winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.
  • Job requires walking around and standing for prolonged periods of time in various Club premises in and around NRG Stadium and NRG Park, as may be assigned.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Prior work experience in professional or college sports marketing or sales preferred.
