Reporting organizationally to the Manager, Competition Planning and Administration, the Specialist Competition Planning and Administration will be a key member of the FIFA26 Competition Management team, and work in close collaboration with the Competitions Management team (USA, Canada and Mexico).
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Specialist for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
• Together with FIFA26 Competitions Operations Team, responsible to support the operational coordination and delivery of Competition Management activities during the FCWC25 and FWC26.
• Coordinating and supporting the FCWC25 and FWC26 Competition Management calendar of activities.
• Supporting and regularly archiving of documentation for Competition Management along with ensuring efficient communication channels in following up progress of other functional areas and associated activities relating to key milestones and deliverables.
• Assisting the planning and coordination of all activities and documentation required in the delivery of competition related events, such as the FIFA Club World Cup, the Final Draw, the Team Seminar and Team Workshops with Team Services and other relevant FIFA Functional areas.
• Supporting the preparation and management of the written reports, documents and presentations on the progress of FIFA Competition Management activities and deliverables.
Education & Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management or Event Management preferred.
• Extensive and well-founded international football knowledge
• Knowledge of event & competition/match operations as well as sport facility operations
• Knowledge of event planning and event project management processes, solution orientated.
• Strong administrative, document management and filing experience, and IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Work Experience
• Minimum 4 (four) years of experience in football and event management, international experience preferred.
• Proven track record in working on complex projects, preferably international football tournaments.
• Knowledge of event planning and event project management process.
Languages
• Fluent in English. Proficiency in other languages such as Spanish and/or French for example is a plus.
Technology
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
