Events and Entertainment Intern

The D.C. United Events and Entertainment team is looking for talented undergraduate or graduate students aspiring to enter the events, entertainment and sports industries to join us as interns for the Fall of 2024. D.C. United Event and Entertainment Interns will be introduced to the event management world with the goal of helping you launch your career within the events and entertainment industry and helping fulfill an internship requisite. As an Events and Entertainment Intern, you will establish an understanding of the events and booking process, be introduced to the events and entertainment industry, and gain real-life events experience! Note: This internship will be a hybrid in person and virtual model aligned with the DCU Full Time Staffing schedule. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays will be in person at DCU offices located at Audi Field. All other days, excluding any game days, will be virtual. The ability to work matches on site is required to be considered for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):

  • Provide event support. Duties include planning and organizing both internal and external events; providing on-site assistance at events and various projects related to company engagement activities.
  • Provide administrative support such as department emails, mail, and coordinating internal meetings.
  • Provide excellent customer service for both internal and external partners.
  • Pursue continued career growth.
  • Assist Event Managers with the creation of unique events and experiences.
  • Participate in training and making client calls to prospective clients.
  • Ability to work match days
  • Willingness to work events both on and offsite
  • Represent D.C. United in a positive image
  • Maximum of twenty-five (25) office hours per week from TBD to TBD

  • Strong writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to work flexible schedule inclusive of evenings and weekends
  • Must be an active college or graduate student and have the ability to receive credit for the internship
  • Proficient in Spanish is a plus, but not required
  • This internship is unpaid, any applicants must be able to receive college credit.
