POSITION SUMMARY (PURPOSE OF POSITION)
The Analyst, Ticket Finance, and Reporting will manage financial reporting processes for ticketing, ensuring accurate KPIs and metrics are communicated to stakeholders. This role involves creating dashboards, automating reports, analyzing ticket sales and revenue, and supporting dynamic pricing strategies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Tableau, data analysis, and financial reporting to drive data-driven insights for business decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Generate accurate financial reports, including Daily Sales, Aramark P-Card, and Balance Due reports.
- Analyze ticket sales, revenue, and pricing data to optimize revenue opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with league standards by submitting required reports (e.g., MLB pre-season and game-close reports).
- Reconcile ticketing system deposits with the Finance Department’s General Ledger (G/L).
- Create and maintain Tableau dashboards to track KPIs, commissions, and ticket sales trends.
- Automate and maintain sales and marketing reporting pipelines.
- Manage data source connections and ensure the integration of relevant data for reporting and analysis.
- Manage GiveX activation, reconciliation, and support for Dugout Stores and Season Tickets.
- Provide financial support for non-Rockies events (e.g., concerts, McGregor Square).
- Research and manage chargebacks, identifying trends to reduce disputes.
- Support data-driven decision-making through analysis of sales and operational data.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support and financial closing information for non-Rockies events, including concerts and other miscellaneous events.
- Share in rotation that provides onsite customer support for non-Rockies events.
- Assist with educating stakeholders on the data and analytics provided.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, data analytics, or a related field, with a focus on financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Tableau or similar data visualization tools, and experience with Excel, SQL, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, VizQL).
- Experience managing data source connections and ensuring smooth data integration.
- Working knowledge of Excel for financial analysis, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and managing multiple priorities.
- Clear and practical communication skills, including translating complex data findings into insights easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address discrepancies, troubleshoot data issues and improve reporting processes.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Monday – Friday, 8 am-5 pm with an hour lunch. Occasional night and/or weekend hours are necessary.
- Work Environment: The position is performed in a standard office environment, which includes sitting at a desk, using a computer, and attending meetings. There may be occasional exposure to noise or distractions, especially during high-traffic periods or when coordinating across departments.
- Work Hours: Standard full-time hours with the potential for extended hours during key periods, such as during the season or critical project deadlines. Occasional night and/or weekend hours are necessary.
- Team Dynamics: Collaborative environment involving regular interactions with front office personnel.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- The role primarily involves sitting for extended periods while working at a desk and operating a computer.
- The position involves frequent typing, including using data entry software and spreadsheets and generating reports in Excel or other financial platforms.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are required for detailed tasks.
- Must accurately view and interpret small font sizes, graphs, and numerical data on screens or paper for extended periods without strain.
- Must work and be able to manage stress under tight deadlines, especially during peak reporting periods or season transitions.
- The position may involve brief walking between departments or meeting rooms for collaborative discussions, presentations, or sharing reports with stakeholders. A few steps may be required to attend in-person meetings or provide on-site customer support during special events.
- While primarily office-based, occasional lifting of materials with an approximate weight of up to 20 pounds may occur during report or event preparation.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Annual Salary Range of $75,000-$85,000. This is a regular status, full-time position.
